We are a multidisciplinary research group of the Institute for Health Care Research in Dermatology and Nursing (IVDP) at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). Our mission is to strengthen the focus on the patient perspective in medicine by using patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) and by learning about the needs and experiences of people living with a chronic disease. We develop and validate PROMs, use them in quantitative surveys, and enhance the understanding of the patient perspective with the help of qualitative methods. We are part of the Hamburg Center for Health Economics (HCHE) and collaborate with national and international research groups, institutions, and clinical partners.
